The Curator & Founder of TEDxAthens, Mr. Dimitris Klavros-Gousiou, and the CEO of Ecali SA, Mr. John Georgakakis, hosted an Official Dinner in Honor of Mr. Arun Gandhi at The Ecali Club on Thursday 30th of May 2019.
The grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Arun Gandhi, a widely read author and world-renowned journalist with the one of the biggest historical legacies, an activist against violence and the author of the widely read book, in Greece and abroad, "The Gift of Anger" conveyed to the guests, in an highly emotional atmosphere, the inspirations of his grandfather who compassioned and respected all people.
The exclusive audience of the Honorary Dinner experienced even stronger emotions, once Mr. Gandhi spoke about his own personal inspiration, his own vision, his actions, since he was the one who created the “Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute”, with the aim of constituting basic-education schools for the poor children of the world, fought for the impoverished and the minorities, as well as, co-founded with his wife the “Center for Social Change”, which contributes gravely to the improvement of social conditions for millions of people.
Mr. Arun Gandhi shared mindsets and views of life, personal achievements and his memories of Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela and answered to the questions of the Ecali Club’s Members and Business Community, to whom he granted a special experience with modesty and approachability.
